Year 4

Super Science

Summer 2 has started with an unintentional bang in year 4! We have been exploring static electricity and using balloons to attract different materials! 🎈 

The Queen’s 70th Jubilee! πŸ‘‘

Year 4 ended our half term with the whole school celebration of our Queen’s 70th jubilee! We partied on the playground by having a whole school picnic! We arrived in style, with our crowns and fanciest red, white and blue outfits! What a fantastic day we had! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Do You Believe in Dragons?

Year 4 began our Summer term with a dragon egg hunt! We had to use skills of interference to work out which egg is most likely to belong to which dragon! Then we had sketch and describe them using ambitious vocabulary! How egg-citing! πŸ‰ 

Potty About the Potteries!

In Spring term, Year 4 visited The Potteries Museum and explored all of its wonders! From Spode to Spitfires! People to pots!

After a rockin’ start to our city wide TTRS battle, we are proud to announce that Burnwood Year 4 came 18th out of 40 schools! Fantastic effort! Ace job! Keep Rockin’ 🀘

Fun in Forest Schools

4EW have enjoyed big hunting, den building and hedgehog home building this half term! They always come out muddy, but with smiles on their faces! πŸ˜€

Year 4 have been considering what emojis mean and considering the range of emotions we feel day to day. Also, that all feelings are valid and that it’s how we react to emotions and deal with them that can help to change our mood. laugh

Year 4 Class Reads

Here are our current whole class reads for Autumn term. 4EW are reading Grandpa’s Great Escape by David Walliams, 4JB are starting Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl and for 4SB it’s The Butterfly Lion by Michael Murpurgo.
