Non-uniform day
Tue 01 Feb 2022At Burnwood, we really value the importance of positive mental well-being. Next week is Children's Mental Health Week and to mark this, we are having a non-uniform day on Friday 11th February (free of charge). Please encourage your child to wear their favourite colour.

Chrismas Jumper Day
Mon 13 Dec 2021It's that time of year again! Your child can come to school in non uniform on Friday 17th December and can wear something festive - whether it be a Christmas jumper or antlers or whatever you have at home! No charge.

Queen's Green Canopy - Tree planting
Tue 30 Nov 2021Yesterday, we planted a special tree in the school grounds to commemorate the Queen's platinum jubilee - 70 years on the throne. We are very grateful for this very special tree which has been given to us by the Queen's Green Canpoy and will be an important reminder for years to come as it grows.

Non-Uniform Day
Wed 17 Nov 2021This Friday is Children in Need and Anti-bullying day. Your child may wear pyjamas or general non-uniform. Please pay £1 per child via Pay 360 and all proceeds will go the Children in Need charity.

Y6 Remembrance
Fri 12 Nov 2021Y6 made us very proud yesterday when we visited St. Michael's for a Remembrance service. It was our first school trip out since the pandemic and it was a great success. Well done Y6.

Mon 08 Nov 2021A HUGE thank you to everyone for donating food to the Bread of Life Community Pantry at Church of the Saviour. I'm sure that this has been our biggest collection yet! This food will be packed up as emergency food parcels to help families in the community and we know that they will be much appreciated.

Music Clubs
Tue 12 Oct 2021We now have 2 music clubs running on a Monday after school - Songbirds for Y2 and Choir for KS2.
Watch out for a letter about Choir which will begin on Monday 8th November.

Harvest Donations
Tue 12 Oct 2021Please bring food donations into school (see list on the poster) for Harvest. Donations will be gratefully received and given to the Bread of Life Community Pantry to be given away to struggling families. Donations can be brought in any time up until Friday 22nd October.
