Meet The Governors

Welcome from the chair

Having grown up in the North part of our great city, I know that we have an exceptionally strong community and a bond that binds our community together. That is something that is reflected in our school, both on the playground and in the classroom. The children at Burnwood are bright, full of life, and most importantly - kind children. The children are of course a product of their home lives and the teaching they receive in the classroom. But we also have a strong team of Governors that exists to support and scrutinize staff at the school, and to work alongside and with the children to ensure, in fitting with our school motto that they work together to achieve their best.

The team of governors split into areas based on their own expertise and passions. We have three groups that look at our Community, our Finances and the Standards that we, and you, expect. We also meet twice a year as a full team to review and plan the previous and next terms.

Governors make decisions on how the school should be ran, but more importantly, we volunteer to make the school a safe and warm learning environment.

We are open and inclusive - please feel free to contact us at any time, via e mail or via the school
